Turnstiles
Our turnstiles are suitable for a wide range of applications. We supply both full and half height turnstiles and access control turnstiles. They provide a very secure method of controlling access to an enclosed or privileged area, whilst a range of Access Control options allows for smooth operation and access for authorised persons.

Turnstile Specification/Design:
- Constructed from British Strong Box 2000 mild steel with a fully welded main frame.
- Galvanised or finished in a protective coloured layer to ensure long lasting rust free operation.
- Rotors run in a sealed ball bearing housing in the base plate, for reliable operation.
- A variety of access control options are available, whilst a spring loaded system ensures the turnstile comes to rest in the secure 0-degree position.
- There should be no difficulty in allowing 15 people per minute to pass through the turnstile.
Turnstile Configuration Options:
- 120 degree (3 arms) or 90 degree (4 arms)
- Single or double turnstiles
- One way or bi-directional
- Trombone or straight arm design
- With or without canopy or barbs.
Choose from the following finishes:
- Powder coated in any RAL Colour
- Hot dip galvanised
- Stainless Steel

Access Control Turnstiles:
Turnstiles can be controlled remotely (from a guardhouse for example) or using a mounted access panel. Any relevant wiring runs through the framework and as such is not visible: this makes the unit more aesthetically pleasing and also adds to the level of security.
Activation of the control mechanism releases the turnstile for a rotation of 90/120 degrees, after which the mechanism automatically re-locks.
With safety in mind: an emergency release mechanism is fitted. This provides free rotation when desired but can be secured with a lock to prevent misuse. Alternatively, in the case of electrical power failure the turnstile can be provided to automatically fail unlocked.

Building/Installation requirements:
These should serve as a guide for a single turnstile. We will of course provide specific details and discuss this at the time of ordering, or you can use our installation service.
Dimensions for Single Turnstile (mm):
- Clearance opening: 1450 wide x 2500 high
- Plinth: 1600 wide x 1500 depth x 300 thick
Plinth:
- A firm leveled surface (25 MPa min. strength)
- Must be suitable to accept drilled in anchor bolts (M12 x 75LG)
Electrical:
- Power supply: 220v single phase 50Hz
- System operation voltage: 24 volts DC
- Power consumption: 5 amps
- Power Cable: 3 core (220VAC, 15A)
- Access control cable: 5 core (x 0.5mm min.)
